The 9/11 Memorial is a heartfelt tribute to the nearly 3,000 people lost in the events of September 11th, 2001, including those lost at the Pentagon and on flight United 93.
The Memorial features two reflecting pools on the footprints of the former World Trade Center buildings. In addition, the names of those lost on September 11th and in the attack of 1993 are inscribed along the edges of the pools.

Visitor Passes
All visitors to the 9/11 Memorial will need visitor passes. The passes are free, though due to high demand, it’s a good idea to reserve your passes in advance by visiting the Memorial’s online reservation system.

Keep in mind, same-day passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to 4 passes per person. For the best chance of seeing the Memorial, the advance passes mentioned above are suggested.
The 9/11 Memorial is just a short walk from the New York Stock Exchange. Google Maps provides walking directions from the Exchange to the Memorial.

Security Screening
